The Reward Of Seeking God’s Face

The phenomena of Face Book continues to grow in numerical size and use. Millions of people around the world are searching for, finding and reconnecting with friends and relatives of the past. What a joy this is! The Psalmist didn’t have electronic means of finding others, and while he didn’t have Face Book, he did spending a ton of time Face Looking. Many times in the marvelous Book of Psalms he is seen seeking the face of God such as in today’ s text Psalms 24:5-6 NIV. David passionately sought after the face of God which basically means he greatly desired to be in the Lord’s presence. The outcome of David’s and our search for the face of God is more than a post on someone’s website or email. Those who seek the face of the God of Jacob “will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.” Psalms 24:5 NIV Challenge for the day: Log off of Face Book and shut down the computer a little earlier tonight and seek the face of God.
